Our purpose built, world-class campus is designed for learning and enables every student, every day to flourish and achieve. Collaborative learning areas with wide corridors and break-out spaces promote wellbeing, facilitate teamwork and build empathy amongst all our learners.

The Primary Campus features an award-winning Primary Library, Fab Lab, Makerspace, food tech rooms, film studio and dedicated art rooms designed to encourage creativity through inquiry-based learning. The gym, adventure playground, 25m 6-lane pool and outdoor courts give our younger students room to play and grow.

The Early Explorers Programme

(2 - 4 Years Old)

An early explorer classroom

At IS HCMC we believe that our youngest learners learn best through play. Setting the ideal learning environment with rich physical experiences to entice students to interact with their place and each other helps them become engaged and empowered learners. We feel that allowing students to touch, smell, hear and interact with the natural environment and other people helps to lay down the cognitive wiring that will eventually lead to our students to hold a pencil, climb a tree, reason through a math problem and problem solve.

As such, the focus of IS HCMC’s Early Explorers program is to introduce the children to inquiry-based learning and to instil a love of learning that will serve them throughout their lifetime. Our major focus is the development of skills and attitudes that each child needs to be successful as learners: social, self-management, communication, thinking and research skills, to name a few.

The IB Primary Years Programme

(Kindergarten - Grade 5)

Three students standing around a table learning

At IS HCMC our Primary School aims to support and prepare students for far more than just their secondary education. We believe it is our responsibility to build energized, engaged and empowered learners who will eventually contribute, in their own way, to a better world.

Through the IB PYP, we make learning relevant and meaningful to students by building upon previous educational experience, continuing an inquiry-based approach and integrating a curriculum that focuses on the child as a learner. In our classrooms, our students learn how to learn.

It is the students who ask the questions, explore, assess what they know, and what they want to find out. We use engaging provocations across all disciplines to trigger the students’ curiosities about the world and how it functions. Walking around our school, you’ll notice that the learning at ISHCMC is dynamic, exciting, relevant and conceptually driven.
