Celebrating the Class of 2026 IB Results: A Legacy Carried Forward
The International Baccalaureate results are in, marking an important moment for the ISHCMC Class of 2026 and the community that has supported them throughout their educational journey.
This year, our graduates once again achieved results above global benchmarks, including two perfect scores of 45 out of 45. These outstanding outcomes reflect the determination of our students, the expertise of our educators, and the strength of a community committed to helping every learner thrive.
Yet an IB score can only tell part of each student’s story.
Behind every result are years of learning, challenge, discovery, and growth. There are questions asked, ideas explored, setbacks overcome, and moments when students learned what they were truly capable of achieving. These experiences have shaped the Class of 2026 into thoughtful, resilient, and internationally minded young adults who are ready to carry their learning into the world.
Celebrating outstanding achievement

The Class of 2026 achieved exceptional results across the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme:
- Two students achieved a perfect score of 45 out of 45
- The cohort achieved an average score of 34.5 points, compared with the global average of 30.9
- 64% of graduates earned the IB Bilingual Diploma, more than double the global rate of 27%
- ISHCMC achieved a 95% diploma pass rate, compared with the global average of 83%
- Eight students, representing almost 10% of the cohort, achieved 40 points or more
- Over 40% of students achieved 35 points or higher
- 85% of students achieved at least 30 points
These results demonstrate outstanding individual achievement alongside strong performance across the wider cohort. They also reflect the value of an educational experience that combines academic rigor with personalized support, student agency, and a deep commitment to well-being.

For our two students who achieved the perfect IB score, this milestone represents an exceptional accomplishment. It places them among a small group of students worldwide to achieve the highest possible result in one of the world’s most demanding secondary school qualifications.
Their success is a moment of pride for our entire community. It also sits within a broader story of achievement, with students across the Class of 2026 reaching personal goals, overcoming challenges, and preparing for the pathways that are right for them.
“These results reflect more than academic achievement. They are a testament to the dedication, resilience, and growth of our students, supported by the teachers, families, and community who have shaped their journey. We are incredibly proud of the Class of 2026 and the legacy they carry forward.”
— Mr. Marco Longmore, Head of School
Diverse journeys, a shared legacy
The Class of 2026 includes 116 graduates from a rich diversity of over 25 nationalities, cultures, languages, and educational backgrounds.
No two students have followed precisely the same path. Some joined ISHCMC for the final years of Secondary School, bringing new perspectives and experiences to our community, while others have spent many of their formative years with us, including students whose ISHCMC journey began at just four years old.
For these long-standing students, the release of their IB results marks the culmination of an educational journey that has taken them through inquiry-led learning in the Primary Years Programme, periods of significant academic and personal development in the Middle Years Programme, and the challenge and independence of their final years.
Along the way, they have learned to ask meaningful questions, engage with different perspectives, take ownership of their learning, and contribute to the community around them.
Their experiences may be different, but the Class of 2026 leaves ISHCMC connected by a shared legacy. They carry forward the confidence to think critically, the compassion to lead with purpose, and the resilience to navigate an increasingly complex world.

A full-continuum IB education
As Vietnam’s leading full-continuum IB school, ISHCMC provides a connected learning journey from Early Explorers through Grade 12.
This continuity matters. Rather than preparing students only for a final examination, an IB education develops the approaches to learning, habits of mind, and personal qualities that students need throughout their lives.
From their earliest years, ISHCMC students are encouraged to be curious, make connections, and participate actively in their learning. As they progress, they encounter increasing levels of complexity, independence, and responsibility. They learn how to manage their time, communicate their ideas, collaborate with others, evaluate information, and reflect on their own progress.
By the time they reach the Diploma Programme, students are equipped to engage with academic challenge while understanding that meaningful learning extends beyond a final score.
The Class of 2026 results reflect the strength of this journey. They demonstrate what becomes possible when high expectations are combined with a learning environment that knows, supports, and challenges each student.
Multilingualism in action
One of the defining achievements of this year’s cohort is the number of students earning the IB Bilingual Diploma.
This year, 64% of ISHCMC graduates received the distinction, compared with the global rate of 27%.
This is more than a statistic. It reflects the linguistic and cultural diversity of our community and our belief that multilingualism is an important part of developing internationally minded learners.
Learning across languages enables students to engage with different cultures, consider ideas from multiple perspectives, and communicate across borders. These skills will continue to serve our graduates as they move into international universities, workplaces, and communities.
The strength of our bilingual outcomes reflects both the commitment of our students and the support of educators who recognize and value the languages, identities, and experiences each learner brings to the classroom.

Personalized pathways for every learner
At ISHCMC, we recognize that success looks different for every student.
Our role is not to direct every learner toward the same destination. It is to help students understand their strengths, identify their aspirations, and build a pathway that gives them the knowledge and confidence to pursue what comes next.
Throughout Secondary School, students work closely with educators, curriculum leaders, advisors, and university counselors. Together, they make considered choices about subjects, programs, university options, and future pathways.
This individualized support is particularly important during the Diploma Programme, when students balance demanding academic commitments with creativity, activity, service, leadership, relationships, and their own well-being.
Our educators maintain high expectations while recognizing each student as a whole person. They provide academic expertise, careful guidance, encouragement, and the space for students to develop greater independence.
The result is an environment in which students are supported to pursue ambitious goals without losing sight of their identity, interests, or well-being.

Learning that extends beyond results
The Diploma Programme is internationally recognized for its academic rigor, but its value extends far beyond the final score.
Through the Extended Essay, students undertake independent research and develop the skills to construct and communicate a sustained academic argument. Theory of Knowledge challenges them to examine how knowledge is created, questioned, and understood. Creativity, Activity, Service encourages students to apply their learning through meaningful experiences beyond the classroom.
Together, these elements ask students to do more than retain information. They are encouraged to evaluate evidence, question assumptions, engage with different perspectives, and understand the responsibilities that accompany knowledge.
These are capabilities that cannot be captured fully in a set of results. They can be seen in the way our graduates approach challenges, contribute to their communities, and make decisions about the future.
The Class of 2026 leaves ISHCMC not only with qualifications, but with the capacity to continue learning, adapting, and contributing wherever they go next.

An achievement shared across our community
Every IB result represents an individual student’s effort, but no student reaches this milestone alone.
Behind the Class of 2026 stands a community of people who have supported their learning and development over many years.
Our teachers have brought expertise, care, and high expectations to each classroom. They have challenged students to think more deeply, offered support during difficult moments, and recognized when each learner needed encouragement or greater independence.
Our curriculum leaders and university counselors have helped students navigate complex choices and prepare for life beyond ISHCMC. Our staff have created the systems, spaces, opportunities, and relationships that allow learning to flourish.
Our families have provided partnership, encouragement, and trust. They have celebrated progress, supported students through demanding periods, and remained an essential part of each learner’s journey.
This collective commitment is one of the defining strengths of ISHCMC. It reflects a belief shared across our community that education is not simply preparation for an examination. It is the process of helping young people understand who they are, what they value, and how they can make a meaningful contribution to the world.

The next chapter
The release of IB results marks the conclusion of one important chapter, but it is also the beginning of another.
Our graduates will now continue their journeys through universities, further study, and new experiences in different parts of the world. They will enter new communities, encounter unfamiliar perspectives, and face challenges that cannot yet be predicted.
They leave prepared not because they have all the answers, but because they have learned how to ask thoughtful questions, respond to change, and approach uncertainty with confidence and purpose.
For more than three decades, generations of students, families, and educators have contributed to the story of ISHCMC. Each graduating class inherits that legacy and shapes it in its own way before carrying it forward.
The Class of 2026 now takes its place within that shared history.
We congratulate every graduate on what they have achieved, both through their IB results and throughout their wider ISHCMC journey. We also thank the educators, families, and staff whose commitment helped bring them to this moment.
Class of 2026, wherever your next chapter takes you, you will always have a place within the ISHCMC community.
