Technology With Purpose
At ISHCMC, technology is more than a classroom tool. It helps students explore ideas, collaborate, solve problems, and express their creativity in new ways.
Digital learning is thoughtfully integrated into the IB curriculum to deepen understanding and support inquiry. From iPads and MacBooks to creative applications and Google Education tools, students learn not only how to use technology, but how to create with it.
One-to-One Technology Program
Our staged technology program gives students the right tools at the right time. Children from Early Years through Grade 1 use shared iPads for balanced, age-appropriate exploration. From Grade 2, every student receives a school-provided device:
Grades 2–5: iPad
Grades 6–12: MacBook laptop
This approach helps students build digital confidence gradually, from creative exploration in Primary to advanced inquiry and independent learning in Secondary. In 2025, ISHCMC Primary was recognized as an Apple Distinguished School for its innovative use of technology in learning.
Beyond Devices: A Culture of Innovation
Innovation at ISHCMC is about what students can imagine, design, and achieve with technology.
Through robotics, coding, media production, digital art, filmmaking, and design, students strengthen their creativity, communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. They also have opportunities to share their learning through international competitions, exhibitions, and performances.
Digital Citizenship for Life
Learning to use technology safely, responsibly, and thoughtfully is an essential part of the ISHCMC experience.
Digital citizenship is embedded from Kindergarten through Grade 12 through our Positive ISHCMC program, known as POSISH. Based on the Common Sense Education framework, the program helps students become informed and respectful digital users who create, contribute, and make responsible choices online.
