Health & Wellness Centers

Supporting Student Health and Wellbeing

Optimal learning requires good physical and mental wellbeing.

At ISHCMC, there are dedicated Wellness Centers on both the Primary and Secondary campuses, staffed by professionally trained and licensed medical personnel. The Wellness Centers provide individualized health care for students who require immediate attention during the school day, including basic first aid care if a student becomes unwell or injured at school.

The Wellness Centers also support health education and promote healthy lifestyles for students, staff, and families.

Health, Safety, and Student Support

Our Wellness Centers support the school community by providing immediate treatment for illness or injuries during the school day, supporting health and safety standards for school trips, and developing emergency response plans for students with moderate or severe allergies and medical concerns.

The Wellness Center team also acts as a resource for staff, parents, and students, provides individual health counseling, refers to appropriate professional community resources when needed, evaluates and monitors communicable diseases, and supports health-related classroom instruction and healthy lifestyle activities.

All teaching and classroom support staff hold basic first aid qualifications, and our campuses are supported by onsite clinic staff, a Wellness Center Manager, and a team of qualified nurses.
