ISHCMC – American Academy offers an exceptional American education experience for Middle School and High School students. The Class of 2023 is an excellent example of the student caliber of ISHCMC – American Academy with university acceptances to more than 100 universities around world, totaling $5.5 million USD in scholarships to universities and colleges. Our school has been authorized to offer Advanced Placement (AP) courses by the College Board since 2012 and is now the only international school in Ho Chi Minh City offering the AP Diploma program from the academic year 2023-2024.
I love the people at IS HCMC. I enjoy the many different nationalities, it is the best part of attending an international school. Before I came to IS HCMC, I used to go to a local Korean school, which is a totally different education system. The IB programme provides the opportunity to learn in different ways. Also it encourages students to have various points of view.
IS HCMC is a big part of my social life. The school door is always open, that’s the feeling IS HCMC gives you. You can talk with the school principal anytime, or even the Head of School. They stop by in the hall to talk with you. They spend time with you. If you feel like you need the school to be there for you as a parent, IS HCMC is there for you.
It’s very beneficial for my daughter in terms of building up skills, like speaking skills, writing skills, and reading skills. There’s a lot of choices in secondary. And then students have to choose by themselves. What I am, Who am I, What I like,… my daughter loves that and she is willing to learn more.
I think having co-curricular activities are fun because you can learn outside of school and make new friends. Also, because having after school activities allows me to do what I want to do.
I love challenges because that is how I get out of my comfort zone at ISHCMC-AA. My objective is to contribute to our community, so I aim to be a lawyer and in taking the AP Human Geography, and AP 2D Art courses really helped my perspective. Legal literacy in Vietnam is not high so studying law can help me share back that knowledge to the people in the rural areas so they can protect themselves.
I love my friends at ISSP and we did tons of activities together. I like ISSP teachers because they are nice and supportive. ISSP prepares for my future, ISSP is special.
For me, the most important thing is the happiness of my children. They love ISSP and always want to go back to school even when they are on holiday. They are getting great academic achievements thanks to the support from the teachers and the ISSP community.
