There is a sense of deep reflection in Vansh when he advises younger Rhinos, “Don’t take the school facility, amazingly qualified teachers and ISHCMC experience for granted. We are very fortunate to be students here.” Vansh continues “I have questioned why I did the IB Diploma Programme. Very recently I got the answer; due to its broad curriculum it makes you a more balanced a whole person allowing for an international perspective.”
This level of maturity has become a signature of Vansh since transferring to ISHCMC in Grade 10 from an international school in Ho Chi Minh City. In this time, Vansh has embraced many of the IB learner traits through his IB journey. Teachers regard Vansh as a caring young adult wanting to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding.
Whilst studying for his IB Diploma, Vansh’s passion for sustainability and corporate business produced the Stella Agri-tech company. Along with two friends, and soon to be colleagues, they founded Stella Agri-tech with a mutual desire to help the economy of Vietnam by advancing agriculture and to make the production of goods more sustainable through water irrigation technology. This real-life enterprise that complimented two of Vansh’s Higher Level subjects, Business Management and Environmental Systems & Societies, received interest from a venture capital investment firm. Vansh’s team later won a contract to produce and install the system for a client.
Vansh is also respected in being self-motivated and goal orientated. Since the school closures due to COVID-19, Vansh has secured an internship at an international advertising agency working as part of the Social Media team. Also, keen to incorporate career aspirations with personal passions, Vansh will soon complete a personal trainer certification in the hope of embarking on a sports management venture in the future.
Vansh will be studying a Business degree at the Erasmus University Rotterdam.
