Gala Concert

The Gala Concert is the premier event of the Music Department.  This formal concert recognizes the creativity and accomplishments of our students and provides a venue to showcase their talents and hard work.

Dear Parents/Guardians,

I am writing to inform you about a very exciting musical event that is approaching fast: this year’s Gala Concert. This is now the eighth occasion of its kind: it has certainly established itself as a much-anticipated annual event within our school community.

The concert will take place at 7pm on Thursday 21st April at the HCMC Municipal Theatre (Opera House). This evening is an excellent showcase of the amazing student talent we have at ISHCMC: all the main ensembles will be performing, including Orchestra, Concert Band, Soul Control, String Ensemble, Choir, Elementary Choir plus various smaller ensemble groups. Students from Grades 2 to Grade 12 will be represented at this event. It certainly promises to be a highly varied and entertaining evening, with music ranging from classical to jazz to popular. The rehearsal for this event will take place during Wednesday 20th April at the HCMC Municipal Theatre (Opera House). More details to follow, in the days ahead. Please note the following information:

Tickets
• Tickets will go on sale to the families of participating students first from Monday 28th March.
• Tickets will go on general sale from Monday 4th April.
• Tickets are available from the Administration Building during normal office hours.
• The price is 100,000VD for adults and 50,000VD for students (including light refreshments during the interval).
• A warning! In years past, tickets have sold out in only a couple of days, so be sure to purchase your tickets as soon as possible to avoid disappointment! There is limited seating at the HCMC Municipal Theatre (Opera House).
• It is highly unlikely there will be any tickets left to buy at the door.
