ISHCMC Stingrays
Welcome to the Saigon Stingrays which is the official swimming club of International School Ho Chi Minh City.
The swimming club is open for students from Grade 2 onwards. New Students from Grade 3 onwards try out to join the team at the beginning of the school year. Grade 2 students try out in November. Owing to the limited spaces provided only swimmers who show good technique, dedication and team spirit are invited to join the swim team. This is an exciting year as we have now moved into our new heated indoor swimming pool and have employed another swim coach, Ms. Liz Parry to support the team.
The swim team trains throughout the year and attends swim meets against other International Schools in HCMC, Vietnam and other South East Asian countries. Once a student is selected to join the Stingrays it is expected that they will attend most training sessions and be available to represent the school at official swim meets. Time trials, club swims and other events are also conducted during the school year.
