From the Headmaster

The vacancies for August 2010/2011 are advertised on our website and those of recruiting agencies listed below. Candidates should hold a degree, teaching qualification and be certified or licensed in their home countries. A minimum of two-year experience is normally expected. The school currently enrolls 860 students, 60% of whom do not have English as a first language. The school is an "IB World School" and familiarity and training in IBPYP, IBMYP and IBDP, while not essential, would give candidates a distinct advantage. The School also operates a small bilingual high school, 160 students, providing courses of study for IGCSE and Cambridge A levels, for Vietnamese students. The school's philosophy emphasizes the development of the whole child and teachers actively support an extensive program of events, field trips and curriculum enhancing activities. The school places an emphasis on the integration of technology; provides a 1:1 tablet/laptop programme in high school, uses Rubicon Atlas for curriculum planning and maintains an Online Learning Community (Moodle) interactive site. In addition to expectations of high academic standards, the ability, interest and commitment in offering extra curricular activities in physical education, outdoor pursuits, art, music, drama and community service are important qualities sought from candidates.
