Junior School

Dear Parents,

The final two weeks of school are always busy for teachers and departing families. Below you will see some information and reminders that you will find helpful.

Presentation Day

On Wednesday 8^th June parents are invited to join students and staff at the ISHCMC Junior and Elementary School Presentation Day in the MPR on the 4^th floor. Presentation Day in the MPR will begin at 8.30am and should finish about 10.30am.

Students from KG-Grade 5 will present musical items and some students will receive SRC and Citizenship Awards. To recognize their achievements and final days in Elementary School, Grade 5 students will be presented with Certificates of Recognition from the Headmaster, Mr O’Maonaigh. This is always a very enjoyable morning and a significant ceremony for our Grade 5 students and they will be extremely excited.

Students should arrive at school at their usual time. Students must be in correct school uniform with white socks and parents are asked to ensure that their uniforms are clean and that they are well presented. Following Presentation Day all students will return to their classrooms and resume their timetables.

Presentation Day is not suitable for our EE2/3 and EE4 students and their classes will continue as usual; however, EE2/3/4 parents are welcome to attend.

Reports

Reports will be distributed on Wednesday 8^th June; students will bring them home at the end of the day.

Yearbooks

Yearbooks will be distributed on Thursday 9^th June; students will bring the books home at the end of the day.

Class Placement

On Thursday 9^th June students from EE3-Gr 4 will visit their new classrooms and meet their new teachers (where possible) in the morning before recess. Each student will take home a short letter informing you of the name of the teacher and the room number. Grade 5 students will not visit Grade 6 as they will have already been involved in Grade 5-6 transition.

Final Assembly and Talent Show

The final assembly and Talent Show for Junior & Elementary will start on Friday 10^th at 8.20am in the MPR on the 4^th floor. Parents are welcome.

End of School

Students in Junior School will be dismissed at 12 o’clock, Elementary at 12.15pm and Middle and High School at 12.30pm.
