Geography

Ho Chi Minh City, still more commonly referred to as 'Saigon' by locals and visitors, is located in the south of Vietnam, near the Mekong Delta, and is now the largest city and economic centre of the country. It borders Tay Ninh and Binh Duong provinces to the north, Dong Nai and Ba Ria - Vung Tau provinces to the east, Long An Province to the west and the South China Sea to the south with a coast of 20 km in length.
