Board of Management
ISHCMC is a private, independent school managed by a Board of Management. The Board of Management is responsible for the financial and strategic development of the school. The Board delegates the administrative and management responsibilities of the school to the Headmaster, who as Chief Executive manages the operations of the school.
Advisory Council
The Advisory Council is an advisory body to the Board of Management and Administration. The Council comprises appointed and elected members, including three parents. The Council deals with matters of policy and development and makes appropriate recommendations for approval to the Board of Management.

School Administration
The school administration comprises a Headmaster and four Heads of Section for Junior/Elementary, Middle, High Schools and City College Campus. The Administration team is supported by three academic IB Coordinators; IB Primary Years Programme, IB Middle Years Programme and IB Diploma Programme

Teaching Staff
The teaching faculty comprises 105 teachers from 18 national backgrounds. All are qualified to teach in their respective national systems and many have previous international school experience overseas. 50% have been employed at the school for three or more years.
Class Organisation
The school has a favourable overall teacher-student ratio of 1:10. There are class size policies in place, ranging from 18 to 24 students, with established ceilings according to each grade level.
Homeroom
In Middle and High School each student is assigned to a Homeroom class with a Homeroom teacher or teachers who meet with the class each morning. Homeroom teachers are responsible for some aspect of the student's instruction and, in addition, is responsible for the general welfare of the student. If matters of concern regarding a student arise, the first point of contact for parents with the school is the grade/Homeroom teacher.
House System
The school's internal activities and sports are organized on a house basis. The school has established four ‘houses’ or groups into which each student (Grades 2 to 12) is assigned. All students and teachers are assigned to either the red house (Cobras), green house (Dragons), yellow house (Tigers) or blue house (Buffaloes), when they first enter the school.
